About the job:

Our client is a family business. They are a well-established yet growing operation who are looking to add supervisory skills to their warehouse team.
They manufacture materials for the commercial construction industry and run their own warehouse operation.
The successful candidate will have the drive and determination to succeed, and be adaptable to manage multiple tasks through the team at the same time.
The client is keen to recruit someone who understands the importance of detail and high quality standards.
The role reports directly to the Logistics Manager.

Principal Accountabilities

Leading the team

Your responsibilities whilst on shift will be to effectively lead the Goods Control Team.

You will be responsible for the designation of work and internal process to ensure that tasks are carried out efficiently as well as

Managing Quality

Utilising the client's current ERP system to reflect accurate stock representation
-
To provide customers with the right quantity of the correct goods on time and in full. The key to this is ensuring we have efficient processes in place being always followed, enabling us to have accurately logged stock levels.

Driving Efficiency

Improving and continuing the efficiency of the companies Goods Control processes and fulfilling the companies promises in providing maximum reliability with minimum fuss to our customers.

Executing and interpreting systems information is a key part of the role. The successful candidate will have an intermediate level of computer knowledge

Experience in using ERP systems effectively and accurately is an advantage

Good understanding of the importance of a LEAN working environment and/or open to the possibility of improving in this area.

Full EU / UK driving licence

Relevant Forklift licences and man-up machine certificates (desirable).

Location and hours

At the client's head office, production and warehouse facilities in Sevenoaks
-
Mon-Fri 07:30 to 17:00, with occasional overtime
